ASIS Rescue Boats Exhibited
At The 19Th Inter-Airport Expo
Dubai , UAE-ASIS Boats, the GCC manufacturer of professional grade rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) for military, law enforcement, commercial and private industry has exhibited at the 19th Inter-Airport Expo.
Nestled neatly between the giants of aircraft handling equipment was the exhibit that dismayed the many visitors to the Inter-Airport Expo over the four days of the exhibition, a rigid hull amphibious boat, with one question, “what is a boat doing as an exhibit at an airports show?”
The short answer to this question is that the International Civil Aviation Organisation requires airports within 5 miles of a water source such as dams, rivers and the sea to have all the necessary equipment in their rescue services including boats.
Interest from airport operators spanned the four corners of the earth and was expectedly keen with questions regarding customisation to meet the needs for Fire Fighting and Critical Care with water level recovery facilities of stretcher cases from the water directly onto the craft.
Interestingly visitors to the stand included people from the Aircraft Heating Industry as well as De-icers, Snowploughs and the like having one thing in common, they too were looking for the solution that ASIS could provide for their beach houses and water fronted holiday homes and changed to serious discussions to meet specific needs.
